Astrology for the Year 2026

Welcome to the era of Fire and Air! We got a preview of this during the summer of 2025 when most of these transits started before retrograding back into Water and Earth elements in the fall. Now this year, these major outer planet are hitting their major transits. The fast and dynamic winds of change are upon us!

Jan. 27:  Neptune back in Aries

Neptune enters Aries where it remain until 2039

• The theme is spiritual warfare, fighting for and defending spiritual beliefs, conflicts over religion and spiritual values, major collective events taking on a spiritual nature

• Out of a period of mass disillusionment (neptune in pisces) collective emotive energy is channeled toward directed action

• Last time Neptune was in Aries was 1862 to 1875

• United States Civil War, Reconstruction and the end of Reconstruction

• Expansion of european colonialism, the Geneva convention - more advanced and brutal forms of warfare, but now there are rules/ articulation of what “civilized” warfare should (emphasis on should) be

• Karl Marx publishes Das Kapital and Charles Darwin publishes Origin of Species - social theory that defines the modern era 

• Willing to fight for idealistic, philosophical, and spiritual beliefs - willing to put effort and energy behind it 

• Global events are fast and dynamic

• Neptune in Pisces since 2011 has witnessed the  flourishing and mainstreaming of alternative spiritual beliefs

• Now in Aries, Neptune might have people willing to defend, fight, and assert those beliefs, which may lead to clashes

Feb. 15: Saturn back in Aries

While the mythos of Saturn in Pisces is the farmer that tills the land, the mythos of Saturn in Aries is the father who eats his own children in order to prevent them from taking his position of power. While this turns out to be counter-productive (Saturn is overthrown by his children anyways, who then banish him and the rest of the Old Guard, ushering in the era of the Olympians), at its base, Saturn is a kind of anti-hero who realized that as human civilization moved away from natural time to linear time (and from polytheism to monotheism), we’ve become more destructive toward ourselves and to the Planet, threatening our own ability to continue to exist. 

Saturn in Aries is the anti-hero - Saturn’s methods are slow, methodical, and inherently conservative; Aries is fast, impulsive, inexperienced, and dynamic

Knowing what the right thing is, but not having the means to do it, because we exist in a climate that is moving too fast. This can lead to burn-out, unwise or counterproductive decision-making; OR, we become battle-tested, gaining Saturnian wisdom by facing our challenging contexts head on, and living another day to fight again

Feb. 26: Mercury retrograde in Pisces 

Information getting lost when feelings dominate over the facts on the ground.

Mar. 2: Saturn-Neptune conjunct in Aries

The idealistic ambitions of Neptune meets the reality check and sobering effect of Saturn. High ideals meet doing the hard work to meet those expectations.

Mar. 21: Mercury direct in Pisces

Apr. 27: Uranus back in Gemini

• Education as radical and revolutionary

• Civil wars, partitions, brothers against brothers (archetype of the twin)

• Class consciousness 

• With Uranus in Taurus since 2018, we experienced fluctuations in our quality of life. Now, Gemini makes us conscious and able to articulate the systems that are responsible 

Jun. 30: Mercury retrograde in Cancer

Sensitivity and hurt feelings caused by misunderstandings or communication breakdowns.

Jul. 1: Jupiter transits into Leo

The King Planet in the King sign. Opportunities to step into your regality abound, where you manifest by taking centerstage, shining bright, and being the center of your universe.

Jul. 8: Uranus in Gemini trine Pluto in Aquarius

Jul. 19: Jupiter in Leo trine Neptune in Aries

Jul. 20: Jupiter in Leo opposite Pluto in Aquarius

With all of these Jupiter transits, expect political and social upheaval, especially in dramatic or creative ways. Watch for the flaring up of the one-true-king archetype. The masses might be jockeying over who to follow and what to gravitate toward, and what ideology will be the center of new collective ways of being.

Jul. 24: Mercury direct in Cancer

Aug. 19: North Node transits into Aquarius

From - Pisces-Virgo: learning to blend into all that is in order to tap into the source of Divine wisdom; releasing rigidity and overwhelm that comes from getting lost in the details and embracing growth that comes from connecting to the feeling sense, spiritual, transpersonal (empathy as the medicine)

Into - Aquarius-Leo: learning to center your higher ideals for the world as it should be while releasing the need for external validation in order to be seen and recognized. Aquarius-Leo in its highest form is the community that elevates a higher vision while allowing each individual to make a creative contribution of their unique gifts and talents. In this season, think about what you offer to the collective purpose or to your social ideals.

Sep. 1: Jupiter in Leo trine Saturn in Aries

Opportunities to take the lead and shine works well with the growth that comes from dynamic self-assertion and grappling with personal ambition

Oct. 3: Venus retrograde in Scorpio and Libra

Venus retrograde is a time to reflect and reassess our relationships, what we attract and are attracted to, and our finances (or any part of our lives where we transact to get what we want)

Confronting our shadow selves - learning to love all the parts of ourselves, particularly the parts that feel unlovable, rejected, or just less accepted by society for whatever reason, re-assessing the Venusian strategies we use to get what we want in a particular area of life (people-pleasing, negotiating, enlisting helpful others, transacting)

Venus is in her detriment in Scorpio, where the planet of good vibes is in the sign of confronting our shadow selves and dark emotions. Scorpio highlights an area of life where you’re rewarded for your intensity, passion, and cool, calm, and strategic nature. With Venus retrograde, you may have to reassess how you get what you want in that area of life.

Venus rules in Libra. This is an area of life where you attract by relating well and by being pleasing and accommodating. In this season, those typical Libran qualities may not garner the success you’re used to.

Delays, frustrations, and communication breakdowns when intense emotions and sensitivities are misunderstood
